New Board of Directors Introduced
Former President Kathy Murray passed the gavel and President's Pin to President Elect Suzanne Fox at Tuesday's Executive Board Meeting (June 21, 2005). As a first article of business Suzanne accepted Kathy's resignation from the board. All new board members were welcomed and are set in the direction of their duties and goals. To become acquainted with your officers before their installation in September, you can catch a glimpse of them in this e-newsletter. This e-mailing is an unofficial prelude to the first issue that will be out in October 2005. There is no Nutsey News in September, only your invitation to our Annual Meeting and Banquet. The e-newsletter will contain more information than the mailed version by providing clickable links to relevant information. If a board member does not have email then you will find their telephone number
instead.

Annual Meeting and Banquet
Kathy Mitchell is Chairman of the Banquet this year. Kathy has not been given the list of volunteers for this project yet. The Interest Finders are being organized as this is being written so she will get her list soon. You will be contacted by Kathy of upcoming meetings. It is important that you make it to any preliminary meetings that are scheduled, not just the setup and breakdown of the banquet. The Banquet will be September 13th so save the
date.
Volunteers Needed at the Pat Dennett Memorial Butterfly Garden,
Norwell.
Pat Dennett was a former President of the Garden Club Federation of Massachusetts who passed away during her term of office. The Pat Dennett Memorial Butterfly Garden was established under the direction of Suzanne Mahler in Pat's honor. This is a DISTRICT project; however there is no District meeting until September so our club is the only club able to be notified of the cleanup/planting for this summer. If you can, please volunteer for this worthwhile endeavor. The clean up doesn’t take long and is very rewarding. You can wear your WHGC t-shirt! Meet at the South Shore Science Center on TUESDAY, JUNE 28TH AT 9:30 am, right side of building, with your rake, shovel, gloves, and other miscellaneous tools to help Suzanne. She will direct you as to what is to be done; you need no experience other than to listen to her
instructions.
Field Trips
The recent field trip to Heritage Museum and Gardens was a great success with members and some of their children and grandchildren attending. Let the Board know of what types of field trips you are interested in for future events.
Traffic Islands in Hanover, among the best on the South Shore!
If you are a traffic island volunteer then you deserve a big thank you. The planting, weeding and watering sometimes seems endless. Keep in contact with your Chairperson to be sure you know your watering schedule. If you have never tried this volunteer job then think about it if you can. It is very rewarding and there is always room for more weeders and waterers. Libby Ritchie is the Traffic Island Chairperson for Hanover Garden Club and is the Walnut Hill Garden Club Liaison/Coordinator. Click name to contact
Libby.
