2002 Pam Fergerson

Award of Merit
South Shore District

The Walnut Hill Garden Club  nominated for the Award of Merit - South Shore District - a person who contributes to our club in many ways, creatively and with quiet dedication. She was awarded March 27, 2002.
Pam Ferguson has for many years been the creative inspiration for a committee of club members who are involved in decorating a room or rooms in the Stetson House, the Historical House in Hanover, for the annual Christmas Tour. Her talent and ingenuity always bring about a beautiful transformation of the rooms. She manages this with very little expense to the club.
Pam has also contributed her time and talent to visiting the veterans at the VA Hospital in Brockton, where she and a few other club members would work with them in their greenhouse helping them tend their plants. They would also bring refreshments with them for the veterans. Their visit was always a big hit!
Pam is also a chairman for Garden Therapy. Periodically during the year Pam and her committee visit with the senior citizens at the Legion Housing and work with them to create a craft. They always enjoy having something for their home they made themselves.
Pam has also served on our Board of Directors.
Pam's contributions to our club make her a valuable asset which we truly appreciate and of which we are very proud!  L.O.
