WHGC Annual Banquet:  We had a great turn out of members at the banquet.  Liz Fallon and the WHGC Banquet Committee did a wonderful job with the invitations, decorations, favors and food selections.

 

New Member’s Tea Party:  We’d like to extend our gratitude to Ellen Butler for hosting the new member Tea Party on 9/12/04 at 1 p.m.

The River Club of Scituate :  “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change!” will be performed as a WHGC scholarship fundraiser at The River Club in Scituate on Sunday, 11/14/04 , at 5 p.m. for just $50/per person.  The price includes: a salad, entree, dessert and the performance.  Meal choices include:  Shrimp & Scallop Prôvencal, Chicken Palmier or Charbroiled Prime Rump Steak.  Please send your payment (payable to WHGC) to Linda Boddie before the 11/1 deadline.  Questions -call Kathy Murray.

 

WHGC Cookbook:  This fundraising initiative will be coordinated by Suzanne Fox and Louise Sironi.  Please start e-mailing your recipes to Suzanne at [RikiTavi@comcast.net]. It would be preferable to have recipes e-mailed in order to help us with the typing compilation portion of this project. PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK YOUR INGREDITNTS FOR MISS-PRINTS.

 

Field Trips:  Plans are in the works for a WHGC Family Halloween Party at the home of Teri Mallory & Norm Cedarstrom on Halloween Day.  Details will be mentioned at the October Meeting.

 

Yearbook Tassels:  Enclosed please find a light green tassel which you can insert along the stapled spine of your yearbook.  These tassels were not available at the time the Yearbooks were distributed.

 

Plant Donations:  The Garden Therapy Committee is looking for low maintenance perennial divisions for an existing garden at the Council of Aging.  If you have donations you can contribute, please contact Brian McGinn.  Thanks!

 

WHGC Plant Sale Wagon:  A homesick wagon has been left astray over the summer at the home of Sandra Woodward .  If it is yours, please contact Sandra ASAP.  Thanks.
