November Meeting:  11/2/04 , 7:30 p.m. at the Phoenix Lodge.  Presentation topic:  “Holiday Arrangements” by Lisa Ahearn of Cedar Grove Gardens .  Arrangements will be raffled off at the end of the evening.

 November Board Meeting:  11/23/04 , 7:30 p.m. at the Phoenix Lodge.

 The River Club of Scituate :  “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change!” will be performed as a WHGC scholarship fundraiser at The River Club in Scituate (formally known as The Golden Rooster) on Sunday, 11/14/04 , at 5 p.m. for just $50/per person.  The price includes: a salad, entree, dessert and the performance.  Meal choices include:  Shrimp & Scallop Prôvencal, Chicken Palmier or Charbroiled Prime Rump Steak.  Please send your payment (payable to WHGC) to Kathy Murray before the 11/2 deadline or pay at the November Meeting.  Questions -call Kathy Murray.

  Holiday Decorations Workshop: 12/7/04 , 7:00 p.m. at the Cedar School .  Prices:  $12 WHGC Members & $20 Guests. Please select the masterpiece you would like to learn how to create at the workshop and submit your payment to Donna Kirby at the Nov. Meeting or by 11/15. Responding by the deadline is important in order to facilitate ordering an adequate supply of materials.    Walk-ins are always welcome, yet must select from the materials available that evening.  Sign ups for additional workshop supplies will be available on Presidents Night.  Samples will not be available for viewing prior to the workshop.  Please contact Donna with any questions regarding the Holiday Workshop.

 Bow Making Demonstration:   This lecture will take place during the holiday workshop.  If you would like to partake, please bring between 3-6 yards of ribbon and some floral wire with you on 12/7/04 .

WHGC Cookbook:  This fundraising initiative will be coordinated by Suzanne Fox and Louise Sironi.  Please start e-mailing your recipes to Suzanne [RikiTavi@comcast.net]. It would be preferable to have recipes e-mailed in order to help us with the typing portion of this project.  Please try to start e-mailing your tasty recipes to Suzanne ASAP, so the Cookbook Committee can start compiling them.

 Dee Mozzochi Creativity Award:  Congratulations to Shirley Minott for being the first recipient of this creativity award for her beautiful purple arrangement at the 2004 New England Spring Flower Show!
