Nutsey News November Meeting - President’s Night! November 5th, 2002 at 7:30 p.m. at the Cushing Hall in Norwell Center. A gala evening to Welcome Presidents from all the South Shore District Garden Clubs. Deb Swanson from the County Extension Service will present a program on the “NEW PERENNIALS.” Please carpool to this special event; this is essential for adequate parking. Directions to Cushing Hall - Take Route 53 North/South to Route 123 East (Norwell/Scituate) and proceed on Route 123 into Norwell Center (3.1 mile). Just past town green (on the right), The Cushing Hall is on the left - large brick building with palladium windows on corner of Main and Central Streets. Parking is in the rear of the building. Walnut Hill Garden Club T-Shirts -- LAST CALL - call Kathy Murray to place your order at 7xxx6, $15.00 payable upon receipt of T-Shirt. “Cosmetics Bags” for the Women Veterans at Brockton Hospital -- if you have any unused cosmetic bags, the ’giveaways’ that accompany a purchase of Estee Lauder, Lancôme, Clinique, or other companies, please bring to the November President’s Night meeting. Kathy Murray is putting together Christmas items for the lady veterans -- Thank you for caring and sharing! November Board Meeting - November 19th 7:30 p.m., Phoenix Lodge Stetson House Christmas Celebration - WHGC club is decorating the Children’s Room this year. The tour is scheduled for Friday December 7th and Saturday the 8th. WHGC Field Trip - “Christmas in Newport Rhode Island - please refer to the enclosed separate sheet for details. On website go to home page and click on "Special Opportunities" or click here. December Meeting- Holiday Workshop, December 3rd, 2002 7:00 p.m. at Cedar School. (Note time change and location). The projects that will be offered this year are many. Boxwood Trees, Topiary Trees (We ask if you have a base from prior years, to please Recycle & bring it this year - pay only $8.00), Door Swags, Living Wreaths, and “Kissing Balls”! Samples of several of these projects will be available at President’s Night to preview - also sign-up sheets to register for the workshop night. The price for members attending is $12.00 and $20.00 for guests. The deadline to register is November 15th (see tear sheet below). Responding by the deadline is important because it is necessary to procure the proper amount of materials for each project. Walk-ins are always Welcome - however, you may have to choose from the materials that will be available that evening. NOTE, there will be hardware to purchase upon availability in addition to the workshop you signed up for. December Board Meeting - No Board Meeting in December.
