November Meeting - President’s Night! November 6th, 2001 at 7:30 p.m. at the Cushing Hall in Norwell Center. A gala evening to Welcome Presidents from all the South Shore District Garden Clubs. Robin Murphy will present “Quilts in Bloom”, a program interpreting the history of quilts with flower arranging. Directions to Cushing Hall - Take Route 53 North/South to Route 123 East (Norwell/Scituate) and proceed on Route 123 into Norwell Center (3.1 mile). Just past town green (on the right), The Cushing Hall is on the left - large brick building with palladium windows on corner of Main and Central Streets. Parking is in the rear of the building. November Board Meeting - November 20th 7:30 P.M., Phoenix Lodge Garden Therapy - A reminder to those who have signed up for the November 28th Garden Therapy, please bring a large bag of fresh cut greens and clippers, we are making Living Wreaths w/candles. If you cannot make this meeting and had signed up to help, please be sure to drop your bag of greens at Glenda L. or Pam F.'s house before the 28th. Stetson House Christmas Celebration - This year’s theme is “Winter Wonderland” - Our club is decorating the Children’s Room and the East Parlor. The committee is looking for any recording of the song “Winter Wonderland” by any artist to make a continuous recording of this song to play during viewing hours of the Stetson House. If you have any music with this song, please let Pam Ferguson know so that she can make a copy and return your tape/CD to you. November 30th -- Save the Date! The HCAS concert at St. Mary’s Church will be at 8 p.m. - tickets are available from Deb Z. The Stetson House will be open Friday night, Saturday & Sunday. December Meeting- Holiday Workshop, December 4th, 2001 7:00 p.m. at Cedar School. (note time change and location). The projects that will be offered this year are many. Boxwood Trees, Topiary Trees (We ask if you have a base from prior years, to please Recycle & bring it this year!), Door Swags, Living Wreaths, Odaptor Rings (for candlesticks), “Igloo” for a Wine Bottle, and “Kissing Balls”! Samples of several of this projects will be available at President’s Night to preview - also sign-up sheets to register for the workshop night. The price for members attending is $12.00 and $20.00 for guests. The deadline to register is November 16th (see tear sheet below). Responding by the deadline is important because it is necessary to procure the proper amount of materials for each project. Walk-ins are always Welcome - however, you may have to choose from the materials that will be available that evening. December Board Meeting - No Board Meeting in December. Happy Thanksgiving . . .
