RECYCLING
The committee has found a new business that will take our ink cartridges for recycling: Cartridge World. The committee members are taking our inkjet cartridges to their location in Weymouth. You are encouraged to bring your used cart-ridges and especially your old cell phones for recycling to regular meetings.

PLANT SALE Lists of digging dates for the plant sale will soon be drawn up by the committee. Kindly consider if you need to have any of your overgrown perennials dug and divided. One member, Kathy Murray, has a friend who is mov-
ing and has offered plants from her perennial garden. Members will be asked to sign up to be ‘diggers’ or
other members may need help getting their plants dug. Sign-up sheets will start circulating at meetings to prepare for these activities. The plant sale will be our major fund-raiser for 2008, so the club requires that all members participate. The committee will have many ‘Jobs’ available to prepare for the sale. Watch for sign-up opportunities at future meetings.
WAYS AND MEANS The 2008 calendars have been reduced to $9.00

WORKSHOPS One or two pruning workshops will be conducted in early April if there is enough interest. The location is Suzanne Mahler’s at 152 Brookwood Rd, Hanover. The actual dates will be determined later based on sign-up.

MEMBERSHIP RULES Section 1 part A of club rules requires all active members attend at least 5 (five) meetings and/or workshops each club year. At this time there are five meetings remaining and possibly 2 workshops may be scheduled.

GARDEN CLUB BOARD Several board members’ terms will be ending and we are actively seeking members interested in joining the board. A suggestion box will be provided at the March meeting to place the names of any individuals who wish to join the board. If you yourself are interested in helping on the board, you may submit your own name in the suggestion box.
The board provides help and support to the acting president and officers during each club year. The board positions vary from assistant treasurer to programs or workshops for example. Please consider lending your talents to fill these important club positions.
