PLANT SALE This year, our annual plant auction has been cancelled and replaced with a Plant Sale to be held at Riley Hall, Congregational Church in Hanover Center. The sale will be open to the public. Since the Hanover Garden Club has opted to hold their sale every other year, our June sale will be the only plant sale in town in 2008! A proven fund-raiser for our club, this event offers many different ways for members to participate and make this sale successful. Captains, Liz Fallon and Gina Kmito will begin preparations and have sign up sheets available at the April meeting. If any members have large tarps to loan to protect the floor of the church hall, please notify the captains. Your own digging and dividing can begin anytime your soil is workable. The sale is scheduled for June 14, 2008 at Riley Hall and Friday, June 13, 2008 is planned for hall set up/ preparation and for dropping off plants.

Membership must have been maintained in the Club for a minimum of twenty years, not necessarily consecutively. Sustain-ing Affiliates will not retain voting rights, nor must they adhere to the standing minimum meeting rule. However, Sustaining Affiliates are encouraged to participate in committees and support fundraisers. They will pay fees in an amount set annually. The member must submit a written application for a change in membership status to the Membership Chairman. This application is subject to the approval of the Board.

HANOVER DAY JUNE 21 – MINI ART IN BLOOM!
We will have a booth at the Cultural Council’s Hanover Day community field day. We will once again offer face painting and information about club activities. In addition, we will provide floral arrangements for a mini “art in bloom” in response to the art works from Hanover high students and others whose works will be on display in an art show. This is great opportunity to have some fun with floral design without the stress of competition. If you would like to make an arrangement, assist with staging, or help with face painting or manning our info booth, a sign up sheet will be circulated at the April meeting. This is a great opportunity to participate in a town project and have some fun.
