Hypertufa Workshop- Thurs. May 24, 2001 10am @ Suzanne home at Elm Street in Hanover. A Planting Trough workshop is being offered in May. You will be walked through the process of mixing a concrete and peat moss mixture to create your own beautiful planting trough. This will be a messy, outdoor project. Please dress accordingly. The project should take 2-3 hours to complete and then your creation will need to sit at Suzanne’s house for approximately 6 weeks to cure. Materials for the concrete mixture will be provided. You will need to bring the following items: gloves (latex, surgical, dishwashing, disposable or something on that idea to protect your hands), a trowel for smoothing, a 2x2 piece of scrap lumber for underneath your planter for a base support, and a rubber/plastic container for your mold (This can be large or small, shallow or deep. This will become the shape of your finished planter. It must be sturdy, durable, heavy duty plastic/rubber to hold its shape. A Rubbermaid container or trash can cover are some suggestions.) You may want to bring a sandwich or snack and a drink. The price will only be to cover the cost of the materials and should be about $5-10. (A rain date of Fri. May 25, 2001 is planned.) Intent to resign- You intend to resign from the club, please do so in writing to the membership chairman. Interest Finders- You will find an Interest Finder in this mailing.
