New England Spring Flower Show:  3/13/04-3/21/04, Bayside Expo, Boston, MA.  On March 16th WHGC will have a club entry for the design division of the show.  For directions, hours and prices please reference:

Our raffle this evening will include two tickets to the New England Spring Flower Show.

South Shore District Annual Meeting:  3/31/04, 10 a.m. (lunch at 12:30 p.m. – choice of chicken or fish), at the Shaw’s Center, Brockton.  Cost:  $25.  Program topic:  “Showcasing the South Shore”.  “Books in Bloom” will be featured in the slide show.  Members are encouraged to sign up and pay the March Meeting (checks payable to WHGC) or send your check afterwards to Debby Zawalich.  Pre-registration is required for this event.

Geranium Sale:  At the March meeting, Sandra Woodward will have viewable color photographs of geraniums available for purchase.  Sign-ups will be circulated and the cost will be just $2.75/plant.   The pick-up date for “pre-orders” from WHGC members is scheduled for Friday, 5/14/04 at Nelson Copy Supply Co. (199 Winter Street) between 4-6 p.m.

Plant Sale:  This will be our club’s major fundraising event.  We will be looking to our members for 100% participation in some capacity.  Sign-ups for helpers will be at the March Meeting.

SSNSC “Camper-ship”:  The SSNSC Nature Adventures Summer Day Camp offers exciting opportunities for children ages 3-14 to learn about the natural world.  A $50 “Camper-ship” is available to anyone with a child or grandchild who would be interested in attending.  A nominating letter can be directed to Kathy Murray.

Attendance Policy:  As a reminder, members are required to attend a minimum of 5 meetings per year in order to continue your membership in good standing.  If you are uncertain as to how many meetings you have attended, please contact Karen Pritchard.  If you have any impending circumstance which might prevent you from attending the required number of meetings, please bring this issue to the attention of the Board.

WHGC Member Openings:    We still have a few openings available for anyone who might be interested in joining WHGC.  A membership application can be obtained from Karen Pritchard. 

Nominating Committee:  There are 3 remaining Board vacancies:  Asst. Treasurer, Asst. Workshop & Hospitality.  Interested members should contact Suzanne Fox or Debby Zawalich.

Nutsey News Distribution:  The WHGC Nutsey News will no longer be distributed via e-mail, yet will continue to be viewable on-line at our web site:  http://walnuthillma.tripod.com or our new log on- www.walnuthillma.com available since our upgrade.

Inkjet Cartridge Recycling:  Envelopes are available at monthly meetings for this recycling fundraiser.  We’d like to thank all participants
