This webmaster and the WHGC membership would like to thank our communications director, Karen Ewanich, for her tireless work in preparing and mailing out our Nutsey News.

 

June Meeting:  6/7/05, 5:30 p.m., Annual Tea Party at the lovely home of Jeannine and Fred Doyle, see your mailed version for location and directions. THIS IS A BUSY STREET- carpool, carpool, carpool!!!!  Please try to carpool and park cautiously in the street. Also, please bring a chair, your favorite garden hat and **BUG SPRAY**. Because we are working on our cookbook everyone is asked to bring a food item if you can. Please bring along a food item that you have contributed to the WHGC Cookbook for members to sample.

May Plant Auction:  We would like to thank all of those who contributed to this event to make it such a successful fundraiser. WHGC yielded a profit of $1,682 from this event. If you were unable to make it to the auction, please send a check for $10 to Jan Guimond to fulfill your WHGC’s member obligation.

The following WHGC’s Summer Garden Tours have been scheduled from 6-8 p.m. rain or shine on the following dates:

July 26th Garden Tour:  Suzanne Fox & TBD

 

Heritage Plantations FIELD TRIP:  6/10/05, 130 Grove Street, Sandwich. Please meet at the Hanover Bandstand at 9:00 a.m. sharp (tour starts at 10:00 a.m.) The 76-acre Plantation maintains 1,000+ varieties of majestic trees, ornamental shrubs and a showcase of annuals on the grounds where Charles O. Dexter developed the internationally recognized Dexter Rhododendrons.

 

Marshfield Fair:  8/19-8/28/05. There will be wonderful vegetable exhibits and flower displays at the Fair. If you or your child would like entry information please contact Sandra Woodward for flower show schedule information.

 

Interest Finders:  The forms were handed out at the April Meeting. Please return them to Jan Guimond along with your $20 WHGC 2005-06 dues ASAP. A $5 late fee will be applied for dues received after 6/15/05. The interest finders are needed to prepare the yearbook. We do not use old information, so get your interest finder in, completely filled out even if you are not an active member.
