Rain date: Wednesday, June 6, 2001 (FYI: if you signed up for food, you are still committed to bring! Thanks!)
Bring: Chair, bug spray, and please take a moment to look over the enclosed copy of the food signup list as a reminder of what you signed up to bring. If you have not had the opportunity to sign up and would like to bring something, we’d love to have it! Guests are not encouraged due to space limitations, however, if you must bring a guest, please limit it to one guest. Thanks! Gardening gloves will be available to purchase from the Company Store.

JUNE BOARD MEETING- Tues. June 19, 2001 7:30pm @ the Phoenix Lodge. Joint meeting with current and new board members.

Relay For Life- We hope that all of you who will be walking with us are having lots of luck obtaining sponsors! The money should be turned in at the Garden Party on June 5th or before by contacting Rosemary S.. Please be sure that all checks are made out to the American Cancer Society. Cash is acceptable. Be sure to
record all donations on your white envelope and total the amount at the bottom of the envelope. The final schedule for walking times will be available at the Garden Party.

Bandstand Cleanup Day- Fri. June 15, 2001 9:00AM @ the Hanover Bandstand There is a committee assigned (check your yearbook) but we can use all the help available, so if you can come, please do. This is always a fun time as the transformation is so quick with many hands working. We will begin at 9AM, but come when you can. It should only take a couple of hours out of the day. See you there!

Junior Gardeners Meeting- Friday June 15, 2001 4:00pm. The Junior Gardeners will have their final meeting of the year at their garden plot at the bathrooms near the Bandstand at Sylvester Field. They will be rejuvenating their bed with some new annuals and perennials. There will be refreshments. If you have gardening gloves, a hand trowel, or anything else that you think may be useful, feel free to bring them. If you would like to attend, please let Robin G know by June 13th.

Plant A Row For The Hungry- Have you designated a row of vegetables in your garden for this wonderful program yet? We are very excited to kickoff our second year of participation in this program and we know that we can count on a bountiful harvest again this season from our very charitable members!
Drop-off site is: June B’s home @ see mailed copy for address. Hanover (on porch)
Drop-off time is: Tuesday afternoons and evenings (not too late) or before 8AM on Wednesdays
June will be transporting all of the produce to the Food Pantry on Wednesday mornings. Thank you, June!
Please remember that produce should be rinsed and that vegetables such as green beans or cherry tomatoes should be bagged in portions suitable for a family of four, if possible. Thank you to all for your generosity and participation.

Summer Garden Tours- Plans are in the works for some informal garden tours. A follow-up mailing will be sent as soon as details are finalized.

Fieldtrip- A fieldtrip to the Variegated Plant Nursery in Eastford, CT is tentatively scheduled for June 14th. This will be confirmed at the Garden Party.

Dues Are Due!- Annual dues and interest finders must be paid by June 15th. A late fee of $5 is imposed after that date. If dues remain unpaid by July 15th, the member is considered as having voluntarily withdrawn from the Club. We have a long waiting list of people hoping to join the club. So, don’t delay if you want to stay! Send your dues to Treas. Elaine M, Bridgewater MA 02324. Send your interest finder to Debby Z., Hanover MA 02339.

Thanks A Bunch!- A special thank you goes out to Adam Z. (Debby’s son) and Michael C. (Denise’s son) for helping out at the Geranium Sale! Their hard work was greatly appreciated!
