All attending are asked to bring a selection of greens available from your own home or gathered (legally) in the wild. Boughs of fir, spruce, holly, rhododendron leaves, leucothoe, chamaecyparis, cryptomeria, junipers (with berries) are all appreciated and will go into the community pile. Please do not use hemlock as it sheds inside.

FOOD PANTRY
Part A portion of the funds from the raffle at our recent Presidents’ Night will be earmarked as a $100 donation to the Hanover Food Pantry. In addition to this donation we are suggesting all members attending the December workshop meeting and the January Pot Luck meeting bring a non-perishable able food item to the meeting. The food pantry provides relief for many Hanover residents during the holiday season. With your help the club hopes to provide additional support for this worthy cause.

PROGRAMS Board member Terri Milley has been doing a fantastic job on programs……..SOLO. The club (and Terri) really need an assistant to volunteer and start learning the process to ensure that the following club year is successful. Most of the preparation for this year's programs is already done. You will help to select speakers and programs for the 2008-09 club year. Please consider helping out in this interesting and important Board position. Speak to Terri or Louise Sironi for more information.

GARDEN CALENDARS These calendars, prepared by the U Mass Extension Service are a great gift for any gardener This year’s calendar features shade plants and gardening tips and monthly gardening info. See Louise Sironi for your $12 copy.

INK CARTRIDGE RECYCLING Joyce Kleinrath reports that Recycle First will no longer offer reimbursement for ink cartridges as of December 31st. Apparently the cost of postage is too expensive. We are exploring other possible vendors and we will continue to collect and return the cartridges in an effort to keep these the items out of our landfill.
