Broadway Gardens LO

These gardens on Broadway include water gardens, shade gardens, and sun gardens. Within a relatively small area, seven ponds are terraced and clustered among perennial gardens. These gardens feature collections of astilbe, hosta, daylilies, German bearded iris, and are bordered by rhododendron, azalea, and other spring and early summer shrubs. Extensive stone work exists with walkways galore to enjoy.

Water plantings include water lilies, iris, lotus, and many other varieties of water plants which perform well in this area. Several of the water gardens are stocked with various decorative fish, including comets, shubunkins, and exotic Japanese koi. Frogs and birds are attracted to these ponds, compliments of mother nature!

Several bog gardens feature Japanese and Siberian iris, as well as tropical plants such as umbrella plant and papyrus.

Set on a hill by peaceful wooded areas, these gardens on Broadway provide a surprising and welcome respite from the hectic world!  L.O.
