PERENNIALS with GOOD FOLIAGE by Leo Blanchette
April 4th, at 7:30 PM, Phoenix Lodge, Hanover, MA

Owner of Blanchette Gardens in Carlisle, Leo will present a different look at perennials with the focus on fine foliage rather than flowers. Many perennials bloom for a few weeks and then blend into the border when not in flower. Others have such outstanding foliage that they look good all season with wonderful colors, textures and forms that make it easy to plan a wonderful garden.

Captain: Marilyn Hartney
Hostesses: Joanne Golden, Dorothy Gullicksen, Shirley Minott, Kristi Oliveria, & check with Laura Ann McFarland (she may have already done February)

At last month’s meeting Les Wyman gave an informative slide show, lecture and presentation of live conifers. He has also invited us to his garden for a tour on May 16th. Details to follow.

Thank you to all the members who answered the call for baskets for this committee's upcoming May Basket projects with the Legion Housing and the COA. The seniors thoroughly enjoyed making these last year and requested that we do it again this Spring. They fill the baskets with assorted spring annuals. Thank you again for the many contributions to this basket collection.

If you are unable to participate at the meeting assigned to you, it is YOUR responsibility to switch places with another club member and to notify your captain and the captain of the other person of the switch. The captain will contact you.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE
When I write the NN I insert information as it comes to me and there is no time to reorganize when additional information is added, therefore the NN is in no special order. If you read something and think it should have been put in a more prominent position please do not be offended. There is a reason for everything.
