& Showcasing the South Shore District".
Cheryl Collins will feature her own slides showcasing what the clubs
(including WHGC) have done this past year. Marie Sisk submitted the first check so we have great seats
reserved at table #1. SSNSC “Camper-ship”:
The SSNSC Summer Day Camp offers exciting opportunities for children ages
3-14 to learn about the natural world. A
$50 “Camper-ship” is available to anyone with a child, grandchild, niece or
nephew who would be interested in attending.
A nominating letter can be directed to Kathy Murray. Geranium Sale:
Purchasing sign-ups will be circulated at the next meeting and the cost
will be $3/plant. The pick-up
date for “pre-orders” from WHGC members is scheduled for Friday, 5/20/05 at
Nelson Copy Supply Co. (199 Winter Street) between 4-5:30 p.m. Attendance Policy:
As a reminder, members are required to attend a minimum of 4
meetings/year in order to continue your membership in good
standing. The normal membership
requirement is 5 meetings/year. The board recently voted to require only 4 for
this year, due to snowstorms. Please
contact Ellen Butler if you have any questions on how many meetings you have
attended. It is your responsibility
to sign in at every meeting. The Brockton Garden Show: Brockton GC, invites gardeners to attend a free day of lectures and great venders in celebration of their 75th anniversary on Sunday, April 3rd from 10AM to 4 PM at the Shaw's Center, 1 Lexington Ave, Brockton. There will be over 40 exhibitors and approximately $3,000 in raffle prizes.
The
Traffic Island Workshop was a great success. You will see Marie
Sisk and Sandra Woodward pictured in the group shot. This was a Civic
Develpoment Workshop sponsored by the Garden Club Federation of Ma. Click here for the list of "Tough Plants" that are recommended for traffic islands.
