SSNSC Summer Day Camp offers exciting opportunities for children ages 3-14 to
learn about the natural world. A
$50 “Camper-ship” is available to anyone with a child, grandchild, niece or
nephew who would be interested in attending. A nominating letter can be directed to Kathy Murray. WHGC Member Openings: We still have a few openings available for

WHGC Treasurer’s Statement: There are quite a few outstanding
checks at the moment. Please cash them at your earliest convenience or
advise Debby Zawalich if you have lost a check.

Places & Plants: PPP is a
quarterly magazine focused on the Northeast gardener and offers subscribers a
discount card for local participating garden centers.
WHGC members interested in subscribing to this magazine should contact
Kathy Murray for details. By-laws Changes, Passed by the By-laws Committee on The
following two changes to the current By-laws are required of all Federated
Garden Clubs. The Board of Directors has passed the Non-discrimination Clause,
which will appear in the By-laws as stated below. The Dissolution Clause is
replacing our existing Dissolution Clause. It is merely bringing the language
into compliance. Please take the time to read these changes. They will be
presented at the April meeting and then will be voted on at the May meeting. To
be inserted under Article III – Membership as a new paragraph before Section 1 Non-discrimination
Clause: The Walnut Hill Garden Club shall not permit in their conduct of club
affairs, any restriction or limitations whatsoever based upon race, color,
creed, gender, national origin or employment status. To
replace Article X-Dissolution with correct wording: Upon
dissolution of the Club, all of the remaining assets and property of the
organization shall, after payment of necessary expenses, be distributed to such
organizations as shall qualify under Section 501 C (3) of the Internal Revenue
Code of 1986, or corresponding provisions of any subsequent Federal Tax Laws or
to the Federal Government, a State or local government for public purpose,
subject to the approval of a court of competent jurisdiction within the
Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Policy
